Inside Our Nigerian Factory

Our factory in Nigeria has been operating since 2016 and has continued to grow and evolve, along with the garment industry in Africa. It is full of talented seamstresses and tailors, and we’d like you to meet them! We think it is important for you all to be able to put faces to the people making your clothes as it humanises the production process which is necessary! For too long consumers have been detached from the process, which has allowed big companies to take advantage of garment workers. These are real people, with real lives, and every time you shop with us, you are supporting their talent and contributing to making the fashion industry a better and more ethical one.

At Grass-fields, we are so proud to be able to say that our clothes are made in Africa, because all we ever wanted was to give back, give back to the people that inspired us, to the people who are overlooked and lack access to resources. We want to help develop talent and create careers for people and aim to continue to do so going forward!

I love the fact that you showcased the workers in your factory in Nigeria. Well done, as in addition to feeling fantastic in your clothes, knowing the provenance of your clothes makes us feel good when we buy the clothes.
